In order to obtain what you really want,
you have to sacrifice.
This is a hard lesson to learn.
Or rather, a hard lesson to accept.
(Do you notice there’s always a but)
if you really, truly, deeply, fully, passionately want this,
you will sacrifice that.
I’m not going to lie, this is the hardest thing in the world for me, and I hate to even admit that.
Yes, I’m stubborn.
I’m also passionate.
And hard working.
And if I want something, I make sure I get it.
If you’re anything like me, it’s tough, and there’s no sugar coating that.
So what to do when the Sharpay Evans in you wants it all?
You make it happen.
Do anything and everything in your power to make it happen.
Because if you really, truly, deeply, fully, passionately want it,
sacrificing this one little thing isn’t so bad after all.
Who needed it anyway.
Whatever you are working towards is worth the sacrifice.
You’re not losing it forever.
You’re simply putting it aside in order to get where you need to be.
It’s all momentary.
Look at the big picture, kid.
Have some faith.
Keep your eyes on the prize at all times.
And don’t forget to wear your life belt.
It can be a pretty bumpy ride.
But you’ll arrive alright.
You’ll arrive more than alright.
