Lesson #85: Better left unsaid.

Honesty isn’t always the best policy.

Honesty is the best policy.

But I’ve learned that there is a difference between being honest when you’ve done something wrong,

and being too honest,

when you’ve done nothing but get yourself into trouble that you don’t need to be in.

To be honest,

(Am I getting myself into trouble right now?)

I don’t know if I’m right.

I don’t know if any of this is right.

I could be completely wrong.

Does this ring true for everything?

What circumstances are the exception?

Are there any?

Maybe honesty is the best policy.

Maybe it isn’t.

But today,

this is just what I believe.

This is my truth for right now.

And truthfully,

somethings are better left unsaid.

Day Eighty-Six.
