About the Blog

After having a melt-down on my closet floor one summer day, I decided to write about it—but not without reason.

A Year Of Lessons was born. This, is the practical, theoretical, fantastical, and phenomenal life lessons of a girl in 365 days. Every day for an entire year, I will write a lesson. Not some manufactured, thought-up, or dwelled-upon lesson from last week, or last month. But a lesson I have learned from that very day, each and every day.

This blog was created in hopes of inspiring, entertaining, and teaching many. When life gives you lemons, write about it.

I hope you enjoy it, but I also hope you take something from it. Print it out. Post it on your wall. On your cork board. On the front of your binder. In your locker. On your desk. Print out one, or five, or sixteen. Life is precious, and it deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated.

This is A Year of Lessons. Welcome to life.

Mia, I used to watch your videos all the time when I was younger! I know you must get a thousand comments like this everyday, but seriously, you inspire me so much. I’ve gone through a rough time dealing with serious anxiety and depression these last few years, but I always try to remember your positivity and strength through everything. You my friend, are going places. You’re incredible!

Eva! No, you have absolutely no idea how much this means to me. This makes me so incredibly happy and proud, and I can’t even begin to tell you how much I needed this! Thank you so so much for watching my videos, I’m so glad you liked them! I’m really glad that I could do that for you——because wonderful people like you inspire me right back. It really is hard sometimes, but you just have to remember that each day is a new day, and that each day stands on it’s own. It’s like the gift that keeps on giving. Keep tackling each day one day at a time, and with enthusiasm and patience and strength. You got it. Thank you again :) Let’s catch up sometime!
